Estados Unidos ha logrado realizarla con una ganancia neta de <strong>energ\u00eda<\/strong>, un hito que se llevaba a\u00f1os esperando y que abre unos retos tecnol\u00f3gicos impresionantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El director del Instituto de\u00a0<strong>Fusi\u00f3n Nuclear<\/strong> de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, Pedro Velarde, dice que con este experimento \u201cahora s\u00ed que nos creemos que realmente podemos sacar energ\u00eda de fusi\u00f3n de forma controlada y sabemos mucho mejor c\u00f3mo hacerlo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El experimento, desarrollado por el Laboratorio Nacional de<strong>\u00a0Lawrence Livermore<\/strong> (Estados Unidos), supone \u201cprobablemente el primer ladrillo\u201d de una futura planta de energ\u00eda por fusi\u00f3n nuclear. Lo que han logrado ahora es conseguir una ganancia de energ\u00eda, \u201chan introducido 2 megajulios y han obtenido 3.15\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING NEWS: This is an announcement that has been decades in the making.<br>\u00a0<br>On December 5, 2022 a team from DOE&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Livermore_Lab?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Livermore_Lab<\/a> made history by achieving fusion ignition.<br>\u00a0<br>This breakthrough will change the future of clean power and America\u2019s national defense forever. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hFHWbmCNQJ\">pic.twitter.com\/hFHWbmCNQJ<\/a><\/p>&mdash; U.S. Department of Energy (@ENERGY) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ENERGY\/status\/1602679966163906561?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 13, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se trata de un \u201chito que llev\u00e1bamos esperando desde hace\u00a0<strong>decenios<\/strong>\u201d, en un camino con \u201cmuchos fracasos, con puntos muertos y, por fin, se ha conseguido\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un primer paso indispensable para avanzar hacia la fusi\u00f3n nuclear, un\u00a0<strong>proceso<\/strong>\u00a0que se produce en el\u00a0<strong>Sol<\/strong>, con la fusi\u00f3n de los n\u00facleos de dos \u00e1tomos de hidr\u00f3geno (muy abundante en la Tierra).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El experto destac\u00f3 que ahora se abren unos retos&nbsp;<strong>tecnol\u00f3gicos<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cimpresionantes\u201d, por lo que destac\u00f3 la importancia de mantener la inversi\u00f3n y la colaboraci\u00f3n de la iniciativa privada que \u201cempieza ya a participar masivamente\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una vez logrado este experimento, ahora hay que \u201cmejorar&nbsp;<strong>ostensiblemente<\/strong>&nbsp;el dise\u00f1o de las&nbsp;<strong>c\u00e1psulas<\/strong>&nbsp;para conseguir m\u00e1s energ\u00eda, optimizar a\u00fan m\u00e1s los l\u00e1seres usados, o incluso cambiar su dise\u00f1o, y una parte important\u00edsima es la de los materiales del reactor para que puedan soportar la fusi\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Velarde avanz\u00f3 un s\u00edmil de lo logrado la <strong>semana<\/strong>\u00a0pasada, pero anunciado hoy. \u201cEs como construir el primer coche que anda con gasolina, aunque sea a tres kil\u00f3metros por hora. Ahora sabemos que los coches pueden andar con gasolina y hay que construirlos\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las investigaciones en fusi\u00f3n nuclear se desarrollan por dos v\u00edas: una es la del <strong>confinamiento<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>magn\u00e9tico<\/strong>, que es la m\u00e1s desarrollada y en la que Europa ha puesto casi todo su esfuerzo con el proyecto ITER, un experimento que entrar\u00e1 en funcionamiento en unos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La otra v\u00eda es la del confinamiento inercial, que es la usada para el experimento realizado en&nbsp;<strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>.
